Wow, this place sure packs it in at lunch! I walked in and the line was at the door. Fortunately everything was fast moving and I hadn't waited even five minutes before I had paid and was filling up my cup with a drink. I ordered the luau pizza. It was very fast service (I think THAT is the only five minutes wait I had...and that's pushing it). Generous sized personal pizza at a decent price - great! But the pizza itself was just ok. It has the mozzarella, tomato sauce, Canadian bacon, pineapple, and mandarin oranges. Some of it was oddly proportioned, where several pineapple pieces would be on one or two slices, and the rest would have one if any. The flavor was about as stand out as I've had at Domino's or Papa John's. So...nothing special. But a couple girlfriends of mine were thoroughly impressed with their pasta choices, so maybe that's where it's at. I can't really complain considering the amount of food I got for the cost. I'm sure I'll head back and try it out again. That baked mac & cheese is calling my name! Also, make sure you show your Keep It Local card - you get a free drink with an entree purchase.

Finally Awesome Pasta at a reasonable price! I couldn't decide which was better the Alfredo sauce or mac & cheese (side not baked). Soo good! Also loved the white tea w/ orange blossom & ginger!

Enjoyed the Bratwurst pasta awesome. Wife had the BBQ Chicken pizza. Both were amazingly tasty...BUT the customer service blows goat balls. You order at the counter before you sit down and the 2 staff members manning the registers had a case of the "Monday's".

This is a great place! They have sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and pasta. They have a 'make your own' option which makes it nice for those who need some modifications for allergies/intolerances. The place was busy for a Sunday afternoon but that is to be expected. There wasn't a need to wait for a table after placing your order at the counter. Definitely a place I will come back to!

They recently changed prices, so now the pizza and pasta dishes are $7.15 and the sandwiches are $6.45. Cafe 7 gives good sized portions for the price and has the best cookies ever!! If you are not familiar with the ordering system, as soon as you walk in you'll see a bar with tiny pencils and different sheets of paper. The menus are behind you along the windows, and list the different pizzas, pastas, salads, and seasonal items they offer. Back to the sheets of paper, this is how you order. You can customize any of the dishes they offer or create your own masterpiece. Fill out the paper, pay at the register (ps the cookies I mentioned are by the register. Do yourself a favor and get one!), and take a seat. The dining room has several tables and booths available, but on a busy Sunday afternoon expect a wait. It gets packed!! The food is really good, and the service is usually friendly. My one gripe would be that usually one dish will come out at a time, like they don't wait until the entire table's order is done to bring it out. The last visit I was the last plate they brought out, and I sat there waiting for 10 minutes after everyone else got their food. I can understand a few minutes but come on. This has become a regular visit whenever my husband and I are visiting family in Edmond. We all love it, something for everyone!

Had enchilada soup, and Reuben sandwhich. Very filling! Also, chicken basil pizza is the best!

Great friendly service! The food is delicious everything I have tried is the best and their menu has a wide variety! Next to try is the seasonal menu! Plus, everything is $7 I love that!!!

I went here after church with my husband and baby. The service was so fast!!!!! We sat outside and by the time I had gone inside to get a high chair and come back outside, my salad was already there! And they were super busy on this Sunday. My husband got his pasta and salad a minute later. The food was fresh and delicious. They have a wide variety of micro brews which is awesome cause that is hard to find in oklahoma. I'd go here again!

Friday lunch. Takes 7 minutes to find a parking space, 7 minutes standing in line to wait to order. Food arrives in 7 minutes for around 7 bucks. True enough. But it wasn't that great tasting. Some will love the place. That's fine! We'll try something else next time. Friendly service, but they're very rushed.

Did the build your own pizza with mozzarella and fontina cheese. It was absolutely amazing.

This place is awesome! They are always so incredibly friendly and the food tastes fresh every time. Ordering is a little strange as you have to fill out an order form and take it up to the counter. If you are going for the first time, I suggest looking at the menu online and having some idea of what you want...it will make the ordering process less intimidating. I highly recommend this place. I normally get pasta and I change up my options (you get 4 options of sauces, veggies, etc). My wife gets the chicken salad sandwich and swears it's the best she's ever had.

Very good pasta and pizza, especially build your own and the Pasta Maggio... Service was great and prices was decent..

Blackened Chicken, Pesto Cream Sauce, Mushroom, Tomatoes & Bellpepper - Its impossible to create a bad meal @ Cafe 7. They never fail me. This pasta dish was so good I got it to go, but ended up dinning in. Misty's Pasta - A little background on how I came up with my pasta. I created it, just as anyone can. I wanted a more Cajun style pasta and with Blackened Chicken added to any pasta can be achieved. I would go to Cafe 7 all the time with coworkers and friends. Most people would eat out of my pasta. The co-owner Chris said we should put your pasta on the menu as a weekly special. Just jokingly to my surprise the next time I went to Cafe 7 it flashed Misty' s Pasta. My pasta remained on the weekly special due to the overwhelming popularity. Months later as in 5months to be exact one of the workers told me what was all in Misty' s Pasta because people were still coming in to get it. I just love Cafe 7 because their pasta and all meals never lack in flavor. It's like the season your food for you.

I really like this place. I have been visiting Care 7 for years (since they opened). I remember when all the items on the menu were $7 or less. Times have changed and Cafe 7 has needed to expand. They do offer your original fares, wine, and desserts. I love their pizza! I usually get the sausage or Hawaiian style. So good! The crust is thin but not crunchy and not "doughy". Their mozarella cheese always has a fresh taste about it. My only complaint about this restaurant is getting in an out of their parking lot. It's not exactly convenient to get into the parking lot from the south. It's much more convenient arriving from the north on May Ave. That's my only complaint. I will continue to visit Cafe 7 in the future when I am in the north part of OKC. Keep up the great food and service. P.S. There is an employee who is the spitting image of Brian Setzer. argylearmoring.com

They should call it Cafe Smart. Walk in, grab a paper menu, and decide what you want while queueing. Turn it in, pay, grab a drink, sit. Food is out within seven minutes, and everything is $7. They bring it out to you, and they check on you at some point, see how you're doing, etc. Brilliant! I had the ham and cheddar, which came with enough pop chips to satisfy my need to crunch, but kept me from getting a big bag o' chips. (Although you can do that if you want to). They even came back to me later to see if I needed a box for the rest of my pizza, which I totally did. This is a perfect place for a quick lunch, but I also liked that if you want a beer of a glass of yours, go for it.

@cafe7 is a great concept! Here is the rundown: They are open 7 days a week, and everything they offer is approx. $7 and is ready in 7 minutes! Real, fresh, local food that is quick and cheap. How much better does it get? When you walk in, they have a cou

This place was delicious! My husband and I stopped here for dinner while traveling through Oklahoma City. The ambiance is great, the restaurant is very clean, the service is quick and friendly and the food is delicious! We keep talking about how we wished we had something like this near our new home on the east coast!

Can't say enough about the salads and service. Bz and popular, asked two ladies when I walked in if this place was good, they gave me two thumbs up!

This is one of our favorite places in Oklahoma City to eat. I always get a pasta and my husband always gets a pizza, and we share. The food has never once been bad. The pizza is incredible and so are the cuban sandwiches. There is a drive-thru also, which I appreciate since I have a young baby. The staff is always friendly as well.

  • Joshua D.

I will make this one simple....the food is good but the service is terrible. I can not stand a restaurant that serves a group their entrees at separate times. The last time I was there I ordered a simple club sandwich. Everyone was done eating by the time I got mine. My brother ordered the pasta and my wife a chicken salad. Why should my sandwich take longer than those...and if so then you wait and bring everyone's food together. Disappointing service as the food is above average.

Nice place nice people and I love their seasonal menu!

Super yum place to grab a sandwich, salad, pasta, or a pizza! Their My Big Fat Greek pizza is by far my favorite, but their Cuban sandwich is a close second. This place is packed at lunch, and has limited seating. I'd advised placing a pick up order if you have to eat during normal lunch hours, or eating early before the rush. They also have some amazing cookies and treats to tempt you with at the register. I'm slightly addicted to their Cookies 'n Cream cookie. You can custom order anything you'd like off the menu by combining toppings, pasta, bread, etc...which makes it easy as pie to eat vegetarian here! The only menu item I've tried that was less than stellar was their side of macaroni and cheese. Tasted more like it came off the line at Golden Corral than at this delicious restaurant to me. Yuck.

I have been going to Cafe 7 for years now. Every meal on the menu us very flavorful and good. The ingredients are fresh and really make the difference. The quality of for for the price is great. Since the menu does not change, they have a seasonal menu now that helps break it up if your bored. It's hard to get bored though. My personel favorite is the baked ziti. I have them add chicken. Enjoy Cafe 7 and tell Jimmy hi.

Simply love this place! J and Chris are the best! Affordable, fast, and great family environment. I can't even drive by the intersection without my toddler screaming "Cafe 7!" from his car seat.

  • Brian W.

Decided to stop in for dinner since we were in the area. Chicken bacon basil pizza was fresh and tasty. Thinner crust so you fill up on flavorful toppings, not bread. We also ordered Tomato Basil soup -- SO GOOD! Only thing underwhelming was flavor of Chicken Alfredo. Ron was not impressed, and I added salt & pepper to give it more seasoning.

  • Anna M.

Just don't get why this place is so popular..it's not bad, but it isn't good... I do like the price point , but would rather pay a couple dollars more for food that seemed more fresh or made from scratch.. This may just not be my cup of tea and I am judging too harshly becUse everyone else seems to enjoy it!

  • Colin S.

Cafe 7 is great! I really like the pizzas. Don't believe that everything is $7, that's very not true. Last time I was there, there were some cookies that I had no idea what the price is. There wasn't a sign and I didn't want to waste time asking when they were busy. Everyone working there seems to all be on the same page and does their job.

  • D B.

Great lunch! We had pizza, pasta, salad, and a seasonal entree. Ingredients were good quality, wait was short, service good, and prices quite good. There are even a few GF options.

  • Meg W.

I was disappointed that Cafe 7 didn't offer more vegetarian options. They don't have any vegetarian sandwiches and all of their salads come with meat. My friend and I got a margherita pizza and a caesar salad without chicken. The pizza was absolutely wonderful and I was actually very surprised at how good it was. The salad was decent; it had artichokes in it which was an interesting addition. Our side of potato salad was not so great and it had bacon in it. Their KILOK discount was a free drink with the purchase of the meal, so I got some of their delicious jasmine black tea. I might come back to Cafe 7 if I'm desperate for a pizza and I'm in that region of the city but otherwise, I thought Cafe 7 was just alright.

While it was difficult to find a noontime parking spot, I'm glad I did. The place was packed, but with good reason. Apparently, everybody had discovered that Cafe 7 serves a mean sandwich. I had the Cuban and my daughter had a Club. Both were large enough that we took home some and both were terrific! We'll be back! (I heard they have also opened another location somewhere downtown).

  • Anna F.

This place is so yummy! Their concept is simple, healthy choices and meals all under $7. I usually get the pasta but I love their salads and their sandwiches are great as well. They are always pretty busy so you kinda have to take whichever seating you can get, but I enjoy coming here and staying a while. It has something for everyone and you can create your own combinations as well so what's not to love!

    (5)
  • Frank W.

LOVE THIS PLACE .... Really different and I dig it. Order on a survey type card as you walk in and boom! Hand it to the front counter. Pay and wait to be served. ** there is a Lunch time rush and it's stupid busy and the parking lot can get packed up! They have everything from pizza to pasta to sandwiches. GLUTEN FREE also. Enjoy!!!

Overall, not impressed. 1pm on a tues. Ordered a cuban with no onions and a side of fruit. Guy taking my order circles my no onion request and in big letters with marker writes NO ONIONS. Get my To Go bag and it has chips instead of fruit. Fixed no problem. Bite into sandwich and loaded with onions. Awesome! Bread was best part of sandwich because the paper used to wrap my sandwich was half melted into the cheese from sandwich. I wont be back.

Wish there was a location in Dallas or something - it's a neat concept for sure! I checked it out for the first time today and I got a yummy pastrami Reuben sandwich with a Caesar salad for less than $10. Other places like corner bakery or Panera bread you can easily spend half a sandwich and a side for that much but this pastrami Reuben was big and included chips too. I'll have to check out the soup next time - looked a bit pricy for just a cup but hey not bad I had a good lunch overall today

Everything under $7, including wine; plenty of choices and comfortable seating. Show your keep it local card for a free non-alcoholic beverage with purchase and this place really can't be beat. I ate every bite of my salad and would've paid much more than $7 for it really anywhere else. It is a great place for a group, because everyone can pick what they want (salad, sandwich, pasta, pizza, even items for the kiddos). I haven't had any bad service like it says in some of the other reviews, but you also only see the folks for about 7.5 seconds (at least at lunch) so how bad can it be? I am always looking for an excuse to meet someone here and look forward to the downtown location so I can frequent it more often!

The food is 100% A-ok. Nothing special, but also nothing bad. To be perfectly honest, I can make the pastas better at home-- but I can't make better pizzas. The killer thing though is the price-- it is a GREAT value. My husband and I pop in here whenever he wants a pizza and I want something else, and it's really a swell compromise. Their beer selection is actually quite impressive, too, for the size of the store-- they carry better selections than a lot of the "bars" in the city. The service has always been excellent, and the food comes promptly. The decor is nothing to write home about, but the old timey pics are a nice touch, and the seating is flexible enough to easily fit large groups while still having little tables for couples or individuals. The one big caveat though is that you shouldn't come for dinner if you don't like being around kids-- and that should really be a no-brainer when you're talking about a place with low prices, fast service, and kid friendly options! I could definitely see this as a place to take the kids out to, once we have them, since so many of the restaurants I favor are loud or have a quieter ambiance.

  • Michelle P.

All meals are $7 and served in 7 minutes--I love this concept but was skeptical. I had a delightful pizza with chicken garlic and bacon, and I loved every bite! It was enough for two and so for the price it was a great deal for a light lunch in a cute dining setting. I will be back for sure!

Favorite quick spot on a Friday/Saturday night. The menu is extensive. So you can get something new every time you go and everything is just $7. Use your Keep It Local card and you get a free drink with your meal.

  • Rolf S.

Phenomenal variety, consistent preparation, GREAT food all for $7 in 7 minutes. It's a great concept - the entrees are divided into salads, pastas, sandwiches and Pizzas. Walk in, fill out the form, pay, take your number, get your food - $7 in 7 minutes. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent! For those couples torn between eating out or carry out, this place is the perfect compromise. Hubby wanted something quick to get back to the football game, and I wanted to something more than fast food that would remove my butt from the couch. The concept of $7 meals in 7 minutes fit the bill perfectly. Hubby ordered a ham and cheese sandwich (comes with a few chips and a pickle spear), plus a (very large) cup of the roasted red pepper and smoked Gouda soup. We were told the soup had a chicken broth base, so no hearty-fall soup for me :( - Which is a shame, as hubby reported it to be delicious. His ham-n-cheese sandwich was exactly what he was after: simple, not frou frou, classic ham and cheese - His verdict: very tasty. I settled on one of the few vegetarian dishes offered, the pasta primavera. Wow! A pleasant surprise, though a bit "unusual". The sauce was a lemon cream sauce and the veggies were a mixture of finely diced tomatoes and red onions (heavy amount of onion), with mushrooms, a few broccoli florets, spinach and pepperoncinis - The combination of the red onion and pepperocinis made the pasta like none I'd had before and it was a bit "spicy" - Though in a yummy-delicious way. This is how $7 (heck, even $14) pasta should be done! You would think that for the price, the portion would be on the smaller side - No: portion was perfect for leftovers (unfortunately, I ate like I was prepping for hibernation, so ended up eating it all - Well, for my personal shame management, I did stop at one tube of pasta left on my plate...). I also had a perfectly-sized side salad with a super-delicious balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The reason for knocking off one star has to do with vegetarian selection: there isn't many (yes - you can order many of the dishes without meat, but I'm talking about dishes specifically catered to vegetarians). I eagerly perused the seasonal menu (I do love me some squash!), and was disappointed to not see one dish geared to the herbivores. With that said, we will still definitely be coming back and I highly recommend to others!

The four stars here is less about the food (although it is certainly good), but it's about the entire experience. Tons of options - pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. REALLY fast to come out. Great cookies. Nice folks. I built my own sandwich. Just regular turkey with some fixins. Nothing special but it was definitely good. Now, just switch from Pepsi to Coke and you'd have a super fan!

  • Dmitri W.

I'm a regular here simply because the food is amazing, and it's cheap. I really dig the theme, and how the layout works as a whole. So simple and fantastic.

  • Whit R.

Great fast/casual concept. Everything costs around $7 and everything is ready in $7 minutes. They have pasta, pizza, salads, and sandwiches. Great food. Lunch hour gets really crowded and it is hard to find a seat and parking.

  • Juan T.

I typically have no desire to write a review if I don't believe I have anything valid to add to what has already been stated. That said, I am here to confirm essentially everything from all the previous reviews. The variety at Cafe 7 is solid, everything tastes great, and the price is hard to beat. To date I've probably had 2 different salads, 3 different sub sandwiches, two different pasta dishes, and at least 2 different pizza options and my only complaint is that the value is so good it keeps me from exploring other options since I live so close. But that's a complaint I can live with.

Salads, soups, sandwiches, and pizza. Had a chicken salad with cranberries, walnuts, and a pleasant vinaigrette. Decent place for a quick bite, but I wouldn't call it particularly memorable.

What a great concept and great food. The portions were perfect. The service was friendly. I will definitely be back and probably make it a regular place to eat. Affordably good!!!

My wife and I had dinner there tonight. I had the Italian sandwich, which was very fresh and had a great taste. My wife has the combination pizza that was also great. Highly recommend this restaurant.

  • Kristy O.

Let me start out by saying that the "7" in Cafe 7 is because everything on their menu is 7 dollars. They have Salads, pasta, sandwiches and pizza. It is all very good. They also have a drive through window for quick and easy pick up. Cafe 7 is a great casual lunch spot.

    (4)
  • David G.

One of the best lunch casual dining experiences in the city. Tons of variety, fast, big portions, everything costs 7$ drinks are $1. I love the simplicity and attitude, almost always busy. Shows if you do it right - they will come.

  • John F.

This is Cassidy and My favorite lunch/dinner spot in the city. Since your food comes in under 7 minutes for 7 bucks (after tax) and is perfect every time..it cant be any more convenient. I would say its packed about half the time...the other half there are spots to sit. They get people moved through quickly and now have outdoor seating! I would be describe their menu items as italian/american comfort food...they don't skimp on the "goodies" that make the meal worth the money. When you leave you will feel like you just had a 4 star meal and I promise you will be back because you will want to try everthing else on the different cards.

    (5)
  • Shaun A.

It's a very simple formula... great food for around 7 bucks in about 7 minutes. The reviews speak for themselves so I won't rehash but I will add: My fav sammy is the Cuban! They've always had a drive through window at the Quail Springs location but it hasn't always been used. Now I constantly see cars going through it. The Downtown location should be open soon!!! Can't wait. They cater. I've used them many, many times and I've also been to several events they catered that weren't my own and have always been impressed with their flavor, quality of food en masse, and originality. They have accomplished glorious catering feats with the tiny amount of time I've given them to prep (sometimes 24hr notice). Don't make the mistake of thinking the catering menu is the same as the retail menu, it's not. Don't make the mistake of thinking the catering menu is all you have to pick from, it's not. If there's something you want, just ask. You may be surprised, pleasantly, at the response you get and your event guests will thank you.

What's better than a delicious $7 meal that only takes 7 minutes to make! That's what I love about cafe 7! Everything is always cooked fresh and fast. You can custom order pizzas, sandwiches, pastas and salad with any ingredients they have. I personally like their pizzas! The crust they use is delicious! They also have a nice assortment of deserts such as cupcakes and cookies. If you want a quick, but delicious lunch or dinner, than cafe 7 is a must try!

  • Dustin E.

This place is amazing! Everything is 7 bucks, for the most part, and they get the food out hot and fresh within minutes of sitting down. Great service, great food, great price. You can't ask for anything else. I recommend any of their pizzas or the Reuben sandwich.

  • K M.

This is a good office lunch place to get a meal quick and an alternative to fast food. Always busy and lots of choices on the menu that should satisfy the appetite. The salads are popular here and their homemade cookies that taste like cookie dough. Options for salad, pizza, pasta, or sandwhich are numerous including "making your own" option. I've give it a three only because although I eat here often, the food is good at a reasonable price, but I have an average experience each time I'm here.

  • Katie S.

Great place to stop in for lunch! When you walk in there's a counter with slips of paper for you to check off what you want to eat. There are 4 categories - pizza, salads, sandwiches, and pasta. Plus everything on the menu is under $7. Everything I've had is pretty tasty, plus they have lots of options of Iced Tea to wash everything down with.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
